Free Water Stations at Sabiha Gökçen Airport Are Increasing / Water Vending Machines Also Remain Available

We always highlight the importance of access to free drinking water at airports. We have some good news from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW): the number of free water stations is increasing.

Currently, there are 6 free water stations across the terminal. As of September 22, this number will increase to 8.

Current Free Water Stations:

  • 1 in the Departures Check-in area, in the corridor behind Mado Cafe
  • 1 in International Arrivals, before passport control
  • 3 in the International terminal corridors (202, 204 and 300)
  • 1 in the Domestic departures area (206)

Two additional water stations, one in the International area and one in the Domestic area, will be installed on September 22, 2026. This will bring the total number of free water stations to 8.

Affordable Bottled Water Is Also Available

Bottled water is also available from 12 vending machines across the terminal. Water costs 40 TL in the Domestic terminal and 65 TL in the International terminal.

  • 3 in the Domestic departures area
  • 5 in the International Departures area
  • 2 in International Arrivals, before and after passport control
  • 2 at the terminal entrances, one on the east side and one on the west side

We would like to thank all aviation stakeholders that provide free drinking water at airports. We believe access to free drinking water at airports is important, as water is a basic need.
